Being Thankful

“The Lord is my strength and shield. I trust Him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.”  ~  Psalm 28:7

I am reminded daily that being thankful is a choice.

The simple act of living creates obstacles for us.  Life changes on us.  We can allow the changes and obstacles to create bitterness and anger, or we can choose to allow the Lord to be our strength and our shield… we can choose to trust Him with our whole heart and allow Him to help us turn those obstacles and changes into deep, transforming joy.  It’s not about being joyful for the circumstances… it’s about being joyful for having a God who can turn our disappointment into thanksgiving!

Today… I AM thankful!
